Organisation for Diaspora Initiatives, New Delhi, India
Organization for Diaspora Initiatives (ODI) is a non-profit, non-governmental academic organisation registered in India with its head office in New Delhi (www.odi.in). It is working to understand the status and role of diasporic communities across the globe– both in domestic and international context. It maps outs the emerging roles, networks and operations of different Diasporic communities as a resource in the international civil society space as well as in the host and the home countries of Diasporas. ODI attempts to analyse Diasporas by comparing and contrasting their experiences across regions and time span to draw the possible road map of Indian Diaspora engagement. It has an international academic journal titled Diaspora Studies indexed in SCOPUS, Web of Science & UGC CARE having Scimago Qrtl-1 index in two subjects and published by Brill Publications, Netherlands. The Journal covers Diaspora studies with a focus on International Relations and other disciplines of social sciences and humanities.
