MEMBERSHIP

Organisation for Diaspora Initiatives offers membership to individuals and institutions engaged or interested in Diaspora Studies. Membership is given and and monitored by its Executive Committee/Governing Board. Members of ODI play important role in governance, administration and general activities. The subscription period for all categories of members- both individual and institutional (except Life Members) is April 01 to March 31. This is irrespective of the date on which subscription was paid during the previous year. All membership (except Life Membership) has to be renewed alternate financial year. 

ODI INTERNATIONAL Membership: Currently opened.
 
Annual membership for Indian Individual and Students: Minimum Rs 2000 for two financial years.
For non- Indian Individual and Students: Minimum US$ 50 only for two financial years.
 
ODI INDIA :TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP: 

Life Members
Life Members have the right to vote and serve as office bearers. They are part of ODI’s mailing list and receive regular updates about ODI activities and current Diaspora studies through emails. They get concessions in the programme registration fee of ODI and are eligible for ODI travel support grants programmes. They get discounts on ODI publications. They also have the privilege of attending all the programmes of ODI. 
 
Full Annual Members
Members like  and have the right to vote and serve as office bearers. They are part of ODI’s mailing list and receive regular updates about ODI  activities and current diaspora affairs through emails. They get concessions in the programme registration fee of ODI and are eligible for ODI travel support grants programmes. They get discounts on ODI publications. They also have the privilege of attending all the programmes of ODI.

Associate Annual Members: It has similar facilities like annual members but without voting rights and financial/concessional support like full Annual members.

Institutional Members
Institutional members are part of ODI’s mailing list and receive regular updates about ODI activities and current Diaspora issues through emails. They get discounts on ODI publications. The institutional member through its representative has the right to vote by and have the privilege of attending all the programmes of ODI.

Only the members of ODI can have access to this section and they will be provided with individual Password. 
 
Membership Fees 
The membership fees under various categories are decided by the Executive Council and are subject to change.The Membership fees are charged as per  Indian Financial Year (1April - 31March). For latest membership fees please check with ODI Secretariat. The current fees for different categories of members are as follows:

Rs. 500/-one time

Rs. 100000/ for Life members 
Rs. 5000- per financial year for  Annual Member   (Minimum two years)
Rs. 2500/financial years for Associate Annual Members (Minimum two years)
Rs. 10000/- per year for Institutional Member (Minimum 2 Years) or Rs. 500,000/- for life 
Rs. 500,000/- or more for donor members 
International Members
Admission fees : US$50 one time only
